Used by companies to create the 'text' file to report electronically to states using UFTRS
Now It Works with a FIX
Problem: UDEAL was not compatible with the year 2000. Since we have passed that year, it is now working and can be used by registrants to send the 'text' file to states using the UFTRS software (either version 3 or 4.03).
The Fix:
There is a file in the UDEAL folder/directory that needs to be replaced. The file is:
<dates.dbf>
Procedure:
1. Download the new file, <dates.dbf>, to your hard drive by clicking on the file name. Be sure to note where on your computer the downloaded file has been saved. (Note-You may need to hold down the 'shift' key to download the file.)
2. Using Windows Explorer find the old file (usually in c:\udeal) and rename it to:
<dates.old>
3. Using Windows Explorer copy the downloaded file into the UDEAL folder(the same folder where you renamed the old file)
4. Now start UDEAL and select the period January 2001. If you can select January 2001 you have been successful. If not call D. L. Terry 859/257-2668 for help. If successful you may now delete <dates.old> since it is no longer needed.
